How this service works

What we are

A free quote-matching service. You tell us what you need and roughly where, and we match you with alarm monitoring companies covering your area so they can quote. It costs you nothing and commits you to nothing.

We also publish the reference material on this site — how UK alarm monitoring, police response and the standards actually work — free to read, with no form to fill in first. That is deliberate: an informed customer gets a better deal, and we would rather be the site that told you the truth than the one that got your phone number.

What we are not

• We are not an alarm installer. We do not fit, service or repair alarms.
• We are not an Alarm Receiving Centre. We do not monitor alarms and we have no control room.
• We hold no NSI or SSAIB certification of our own, and we make no such claim. Those are held by inspected installers and monitoring centres.
• We do not issue URNs. Only a police force does that, on application from an approved company.
• We do not set prices. Any figure on this site is an indicative market range, published to help you judge a quote.

How we are paid

Alarm monitoring companies pay us for the introduction. You pay us nothing, and the price you are quoted is not increased because you came through us.

We would rather tell you that plainly than have you work it out. It is the incentive behind every page here — and it is exactly why the reference content is written to make you a harder customer to sell to, including for the companies we introduce you to.
