Who we are

AlarmMonitoring.co.uk is a quote-matching service that connects people seeking alarm monitoring with providers. We are the data controller for the details you submit through the form.

What we collect, and why

Through the enquiry form: your name, email address, phone number, postcode, property type, what you need, and anything you write in the message box. We collect it in order to pass your enquiry to alarm monitoring providers so they can contact you with quotes. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form.

Our web server also records standard technical log data such as IP address and browser type, which we use to keep the site working and to prevent abuse of the form.

Who we share it with

Alarm monitoring providers covering your area, so that they can quote. They become responsible for your data once they receive it, under their own privacy notices. We do not sell your details for unrelated marketing, and we do not share them with anyone other than providers relevant to your enquiry.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept for no longer than 24 months, then deleted. If you ask us to delete them sooner, we will.

Please do not send us

Alarm codes, ARC passwords, or details of your existing security arrangements. We do not need them, and the enquiry form is not the place for them.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent. Email hello@alarmmonitoring.co.uk with "Data request" in the subject.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Cookies and third parties

This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies and runs no third-party analytics. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

There is one exception worth naming precisely. Our security signs page displays product images served by Amazon from m.media-amazon.com, because Amazon requires product images to be served from Amazon rather than copied. Loading those images means Amazon receives the request, including your IP address, in the same way it would if you visited Amazon directly. No other page on this site loads anything from another domain, and if you click through to Amazon you are then subject to Amazon's own privacy policy and cookies.

We are an Amazon Associate, so we earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through those links. That costs you nothing extra and does not change the price you pay.
